About Us

UNITED WE STAND

The UCMWA is a newly formed independent labor union.  This website is designed to provide all workers with information about decertifying your current union and becoming part of a new movement. 

WORKERS FOR WORKERS

Unions were meant to be a group of workers fighting for better wages and safe working conditions. Some where along the way, unions became corporate partners with management.   

INDEPENDENT LABOR UNION

Know where your dues are going. The UCMWA is independent and all local. There is no international union overseeing the association. Your dues stay local and are used for YOU.

The process is simpler than you think. A showing of interest is gathered from the employees then a petition is  filed with the  Ohio State Employment Relations Board, (SERB) who conducts a secret ballot election. The winner is then certified as the exclusive bargaining representative.n

Every public employee in Ohio is protected by the State Employment Relations Board. Neither your employer nor incumbent union can take any action against you for exercising your right to choose. No one should be held hostage by the Labor Union machine.

During this process you will be bombarded with rumors and misinformation meant to discourage you. You have the right to choose who represents you. Call or email us with ANY concerns you have and we will explain the process step by step.
